Depends on what sort of car. If it were a VN Commodore I'd probably say the TT6, if I were looking at an earlier model then I'd Turbo a V8. A newer model car let's say a VX then I'd throw a massive supercharger at the V8.

And that's if I were staying with commdores. I'd love to get my hands on a Honda S2000 and work the crap out of that. That is of course assuming that I win Tatts at some point in the future

I would buy the V8 and once I had enough money it would be rebuilt and supercharged!

If I was buying a new car I would get a turboed V6 because 1:cheaper to buy, 2:usally just as fast(or faster), 3: less weight(better handling on corners) and 4: better fuel economy. However, every Rev Head loves a V-8.If I won the lotto I would shoe horn a BLOWN 426 Hemi in my VN and bugger the corners and petrol pumps!!

aiite, for the vn/vp v6, chuck a supercharger at it. or if you have the money a decent twin turbo setup.

ok small addition to this poll, i have a s1 vn v6, i can get a reconed v8 for it for $1500, or i can get a supercharger kit for it for under $900.

whats everyones oppinion?

Keep in mind that for you to move up to a V8 and have it street legal you need to upgrade the brakes, suspension and all the other 'safety' accessories to the same spec as those which came with the V8 car.

That said, if you throw a charger at the V6, it might expose a few weaknesses in the engine/driveline that you don't know about. So you might end up having to do a rebuild on the V6.

If you run 6psi or less I'd go with the charger on the V6. If you plan on running more than 6 pound then the V8 would probably be a better option.

It also depends on the type of driving you do. If you spend most of your life stuck in traffic, the charger on the 6 is the way to go. If it's just open road cruising then the V8 would probably use less fuel.
